I love mail. (Unfortunately I can’t say the same about my former Detroit-postal lady, but that’s a whole different story…) Maybe it’s because my mom has worked in a card shop for over fifteen years, or that I’ve recently moved out of state and smile when I receive notes from friends or just the simple fact that it’s still nice to hold a “hello” in your hand as opposed to reading it on-screen.
These two five-card notecard sets offer perfect ways to say “thank you”, “happy birthday” or just a simple “hi.” The fronts feature an original illustration of a butterfly pattern and an owl pattern, inspired respectively by a fluttering bit of nature and a vintage brooch, while the blank inside leaves plenty of room for a hand-written personal message.

Each card measures 4.125” x 5.5” (folded). The card paper is Mohawk Via Satin 100 lb. cover stock in Bright White. It’s made with 30% post consumer waste fiber and is produced with wind-generated electricity. Each card is accompanied by an A2 envelope with European inspired pointed flap, in Lake for the Butterfly Notecards and Pool for the Owl Notecards. The designs are printed on a Canon iP4200 and are hand-scored, -cut and folded to size. The set is packaged together with a band of colored translucent paper. (Please note that the color of the actual printed pieces may vary from the photographs due to inconsistencies in computer monitor settings.)
