One of my favorite ladies is about to get married and a few weeks ago was the celebration of all things girly — the bachelorette party. Between eight ladies, there were three pairs of snakeskin pumps, a few rounds of pink drinks, two veils, a sash, some sassy dance moves, and so many new, pretty undergarments!
Lingerie is the epitome of female-ness: It’s soft and pretty and fun and spicy all rolled up in one. When the maid of honor asked me to design the bachelorette party invitations, I immediately knew that I wanted to create an Unmentionable pattern. However, this was one of those designs that slowly builds and works itself out in your head before ever becoming something tangible or vectored. It was a couple of weeks before I actually sat down with Illustrator and the bezier tool — And then I couldn’t stop! Ruffles, lace, embellishments, bows, ribbon, polka dots — the possibilities were endless and the creation process was so much fun!
When my phone rang a few days after mailing them and the first thing the surprised-bride-to-be said was “Oh. My. God.” I knew I’d hit the mark and today, I’m pleased to announce that three Unmentionable Papergoods — in a selection of six colors: (A) Blue, (B) Green, (C) Platinum, (D) Yellow, (E) Pink or (F) Lavender — are now for sale through my shop on etsy!

[1] Unmentionable Notecards (set of 5)
The front of each card features a different vignetted fun and flirty undergarment with ruffles, polka dots or detailing paired with a contrasting patterned background. The blank inside leaves plenty of room for a hand-written personal message, be it a bachelorette thank you or a girly note to one of your favorite ladies.

[2] Unmentionable Bachelorette Fill-In Invitations (set of 10)
The front of the invite features a pattern of delicates — composed of fun and flirty undergarments with ruffles, polka dots and detailing — along with the vignetted script which teases, “You’re invited…” While the back announces “She’s getting married!” followed by spaces for you to fill in the celebratory details.

[3] Unmentionable Bachelorette Invitations, Custom Typeset (set of 10)
The front of the invite features a pattern of delicates — composed of fun and flirty undergarments with ruffles, polka dots and detailing — along with the vignetted script which teases, “You’re invited…” The custom typeset inside announces the woman of the moment and the celebratory details, paired with a polka dot pattern on top.
