Over the years I’ve saved bits and pieces of design projects that I loved, but just weren’t right for that particular piece: It’s like keeping a little treasure trove, knowing one day you’ll pull out the bits and find them a proper home. I had worked on a set of calligraphy-inspired entwined hearts for a friends wedding over the summer. I ended up with over a dozen options, most too pretty to just discard… I hope you enjoy them in their new forms!
This set of four Valentine notecards feature original vector illustrations inspired by lace, calligraphic flourishes, hearts and love. The front of each card features one- and two-word sentiments — “Always”, “Heart”, “Be Mine” and “xo” — while the blank inside leaves plenty of room for a hand-written personal message to the one you adore. These are perfect for Valentine’s Day or any day that you wish to let someone know they have your heart.
Each card measures 4.125” x 5.5” (folded). The card stock is Paper Source Super Fine White cover stock. Each card is accompanied by an A2 envelope with European inspired pointed flap, in rhubarb. The designs are printed on a Canon iP4200 and are hand-cut and folded to size. (Please note that the color of the actual printed pieces may vary from the photographs due to inconsistencies in computer monitor settings.)
